Different Way of Practicing Law Since 2015

YULEX was born from a vision: to offer legal and strategic support that is pragmatic and accessible, connected to both local realities and projects requiring international expansion.
It was therefore in Montréal, in 2015, that Maude Fréchette, François Boulianne, Frédéric Letendre, and Dominique Lavin founded YULEX. Having known each other for some time, these four attorneys were united by shared values and a desire to practice law differently—both to the next generation of professionals and for their clients.
That same year, a second office was opened in Bromont, and in 2024, a third office was opened in Paris to strengthen our presence in Europe. The team, which initially consisted of nine people, had grown to nearly 25 employees and collaborators by 2026.
From day one, we have had the privilege of being part of the Interlegal network, which brings together business law firms in nearly 50 countries around the world.
In 2024, we joined the Lexing network, the world’s leading network dedicated to technology law, which brings together attorneys in some 40 countries across all continents.
To ensure the firm’s sustainability and support its long-term growth, we recently took a significant step by appointing Chloé Girard and Bruno Provencher-Bordeleau as junior partners. Having been with the firm for several years, they have actively contributed to its evolution and success through their commitment and constant drive to advance their expertise. These appointments are a natural extension of YULEX’s founding vision, which focuses on the next generation and the transmission of knowledge, while remaining true to the core values that have driven us since our inception.
Ten years after its founding, YULEX represents clients who are based in or do business in nearly 60 countries.
Today, YULEX continues to evolve while staying true to its core mission: to provide pragmatic, human-centered, and accessible legal services to businesses here and abroad.
